Here's something to look forward to over the weekend, Human Highway's release of their debut album 'Moody Motorcycle', due out Tueday (August 19th). Haven't heard of them? Neither had I until yesterday. Now I'm sitting on my hands waiting for this album to come out so I can play the fuck out of it.
Made up of Nick Thorburn (one-sixth of Islands) and Jim Guthrie (one-forth of Royal City and 100% of his solo effort Jim Guthrie), Human Highway comes at you with a sound that you would expect were Simon & Garfunkle in The Eagles. Put another way, their sound is acoustically centered, harmonically lifted, simple, laid back and pretty.
